Euromycel is the France Champignon Group's first link in what is a fully integrated Button Mushroom production chain.

From procuring supplies of rye to act as a nutritional support for the mycelium to marketing the finished product (spawn), Euromycel provides all the expertise required to ensure the quality, safety and traceability of its products.

For a number of years, Euromycel has enjoyed a special relationship with the same rye supplier, who uses growing techniques that involve minimum use of chemical sprays. He has a parcel of land dedicated to the company's needs and is thus able to provide GMO-free rye that meets the required standards of quality.

Euromycel  has also developed a recognised expertise in the selection of strains and cultures, which is the result of the company's own know-how and the research work that it has carried out in partnership with INRA.

Rigorous checks are also carried out throughout the production process to ensure total traceability, from the procurement of rye supplies to the customer using the spawn.

Finally, Euromycel's modern, efficient production facilities mean that it provides irreproachable finished product quality.
 
This expertise has helped to make Euromycel Europe's second largest producer of mycelium, and France Champignon's recent investments mean that the company can look towards future growth.
The France Champignon Group has carried out investments that will allow the company to increase its capacity by nearly 60% and raise annual production from 3.4 to 5.5 million litres of mycelium.
